1Escutai-me, meus filhos, hoje.

1Listen to me, my children, today.

2Naqueles dias, quando o Senhor desceu à terra por causa de Adão, e visitou todas as suas criaturas, que ele mesmo criou, depois de todas essas ele criou Adão, e o Senhor chamou todas as bestas da terra, todos os répteis, e todos os pássaros que voam no ar, e trouxe-os todos diante da face de nosso pai Adão.

2In those days, when the Lord descended to earth for the sake of Adam, and visited all his creatures, which he himself created, after all these he created Adam, and the Lord called all the beasts of the earth, all the reptiles, and all the birds that fly in the air, and brought them all before the face of our father Adam.

3E Adão deu os nomes a todas as coisas vivas na terra.

3And Adam gave names to all living things on earth.

4E o Senhor o nomeou governante sobre tudo, e sujeitou a ele todas as coisas sob suas mãos, e as fez mudas e as fez tolas para que fossem comandadas pelo homem, e estivessem em sujeição e obediência a ele.

4And the Lord named him ruler over all, and subjected all things to him under his hands, and made them dumb and made them foolish so that they might be commanded by man, and be in subjection and obedience to him.

5Assim também o Senhor criou cada homem senhor sobre todas as suas posses.

5So also the Lord created every man lord over all his possessions.

6O Senhor não julgará uma única alma de besta por causa do homem, mas adjudica as almas dos homens às suas bestas neste mundo; pois os homens têm um lugar especial.

6The Lord will not judge a single soul of beast for the sake of man, but adjudges the souls of men to their beasts in this world; for men have a special place.

7E como cada alma de homem é segundo o número, semelhantemente as bestas não perecerão, nem todas as almas de bestas que o Senhor criou, até o grande julgamento, e elas acusarão o homem, se ele as alimentar mal.

7And as every soul of man is according to number, similarly beasts will not perish, nor all souls of beasts that the Lord created, until the great judgment, and they will accuse man, if he feeds them badly.
