2 Enoque 56

1Matusalém, tendo respondido a seu pai Enoque, disse: 'O que é agradável aos teus olhos, pai, que eu possa fazer diante de tua face, para que possas abençoar nossas moradas, e teus filhos, e para que teu povo possa ser feito glorioso através de ti, e então para que possas partir assim, como o Senhor disse?'

1Methuselah, having answered his father Enoch, said: 'What is pleasing to your eyes, father, that I may do before your face, that you may bless our dwellings, and your children, and that your people may be made glorious through you, and then that you may depart thus, as the Lord said?'

2Enoque respondeu ao seu filho Matusalém e disse: 'Ouve, filho, desde o tempo em que o Senhor me ungiu com o unguento de sua glória, não houve comida em mim, e minha alma não se lembra de prazer terreno, nem quero nada terreno!'

2Enoch answered his son Methuselah and said: 'Hear, son, since the time when the Lord anointed me with the ointment of his glory, there has been no food in me, and my soul does not remember earthly pleasure, nor do I want anything earthly!'
