1Bem-aventurado o homem que abre seus lábios em louvor ao Deus de Sabaoth e louva o Senhor com seu coração.

1Blessed is the man who opens his lips in praise to the God of Sabaoth and praises the Lord with his heart.

2Maldito todo homem que abre seus lábios para trazer desprezo e calúnia ao seu vizinho, porque ele traz Deus ao desprezo.

2Cursed is every man who opens his lips to bring scorn and slander to his neighbor, for he brings God to scorn.

3Bem-aventurado aquele que abre seus lábios abençoando e louvando a Deus.

3Blessed is he who opens his lips blessing and praising God.

4Maldito é aquele diante do Senhor todos os dias de sua vida, que abre seus lábios para amaldiçoar e abusar.

4Cursed is he before the Lord all the days of his life, who opens his lips to curse and abuse.

5Bem-aventurado aquele que abençoa todas as obras do Senhor.

5Blessed is he who blesses all the works of the Lord.

6Maldito é aquele que traz a criação do Senhor ao desprezo.

6Cursed is he who brings the creation of the Lord to scorn.

7Bem-aventurado aquele que olha para baixo e levanta os caídos.

7Blessed is he who looks down and lifts up the fallen.

8Maldito é aquele que olha para e está ansioso pela destruição do que não é seu.

8Cursed is he who looks for and is eager for the destruction of what is not his.

9Bem-aventurado aquele que mantém firmes os fundamentos de seus pais desde o início.

9Blessed is he who keeps firm the foundations of his fathers from the beginning.

10Maldito é aquele que perverte os decretos de seus antepassados.

10Cursed is he who perverts the decrees of his ancestors.

11Bem-aventurado aquele que implanta paz e amor.

11Blessed is he who plants peace and love.

12Maldito é aquele que perturba aqueles que amam seus vizinhos.

12Cursed is he who disturbs those who love their neighbors.

13Bem-aventurado aquele que fala com língua e coração humildes a todos.

13Blessed is he who speaks with humble tongue and heart to all.

14Maldito é aquele que fala paz com sua língua, enquanto em seu coração não há paz, mas uma espada.

14Cursed is he who speaks peace with his tongue, while in his heart there is no peace, but a sword.

15Pois todas essas coisas serão expostas nas balanças e nos livros, no dia do grande julgamento.

15For all these things will be exposed in the scales and in the books, on the day of the great judgment.
