1Eu coloquei o trabalho de cada homem por escrito e nenhum nascido na terra pode permanecer oculto nem suas obras permanecerem ocultas.

1I placed the work of every man in writing and none born on earth can remain hidden nor their works remain hidden.

2Eu vejo todas as coisas.

2I see all things.

3Agora, portanto, meus filhos, em paciência e mansidão gastai o número de vossos dias, para que herdeis a vida sem fim.

3Now therefore, my children, in patience and meekness spend the number of your days, that you may inherit eternal life.

4Suportai por causa do Senhor cada ferida, cada injúria, cada palavra má e ataque.

4Endure for the sake of the Lord every wound, every injury, every evil word and attack.

5Se maus pagamentos vos acontecerem, não os devolvais nem ao vizinho nem ao inimigo, porque o Senhor os devolverá por vós e será vosso vingador no dia do grande julgamento, para que não haja vingança aqui entre os homens.

5If bad payments befall you, do not return them either to neighbor or to enemy, for the Lord will return them for you and will be your avenger on the day of the great judgment, that there may be no vengeance here among men.

6Quem de vós gasta ouro ou prata por causa de seu irmão, ele receberá amplo tesouro no mundo vindouro.

6Whoever of you spends gold or silver for the sake of his brother, he will receive ample treasure in the world to come.

7Não prejudiqueis viúvas nem órfãos nem estrangeiros, para que a ira de Deus não venha sobre vós.

7Do not harm widows nor orphans nor strangers, lest the wrath of God come upon you.
