1E eu vi todos os antepassados desde o início dos tempos com Adão e Eva, e suspirei e rompi em lágrimas e disse sobre a ruína de sua desonra:

1And I saw all the ancestors from the beginning of time with Adam and Eve, and I sighed and burst into tears and said about the ruin of their dishonor:

2'Ai de mim por minha enfermidade e pela de meus antepassados', e pensei em meu coração e disse:

2'Woe is me for my infirmity and that of my ancestors', and I thought in my heart and said:

3'Bem-aventurado o homem que não nasceu, ou que nasceu e não pecou diante da face do Senhor, para que não venha a este lugar, nem traga o jugo deste lugar!'

3'Blessed is the man who was not born, or who was born and did not sin before the face of the Lord, so that he may not come to this place, nor bring the yoke of this place!'
