1Ouvi, agora, meus filhos, aquelas coisas que chegaram a mim pelos lábios do Senhor.

1Hear now, my children, those things that came to me from the lips of the Lord.

2Eu sei de todas as coisas e escrevi sobre elas em livros referentes aos céus e seu fim.

2I know all things and have written about them in books concerning the heavens and their end.

3Medi e descrevi as estrelas, a imensa multidão delas.

3I measured and described the stars, the immense multitude of them.

4E medi a órbita do sol, medi seus raios, contei as horas.

4And I measured the orbit of the sun, measured its rays, counted the hours.

5E escrevi sobre o curso seguido pelo trovão e pelo raio.

5And I wrote about the course followed by thunder and lightning.
