2 Coríntios 4

1Por isso, tendo este ministério, segundo a misericórdia que nos foi feita, não desfalecemos;

1Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;

2Antes, rejeitamos as coisas que por vergonha se ocultam, não andando com astúcia nem falsificando a palavra de Deus; e assim nos recomendamos à consciência de todo o homem, na presença de Deus, pela manifestação da verdade.

2But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. {dishonesty: Gr. shame}

3Mas, se ainda o nosso evangelho está encoberto, para os que se perdem está encoberto.

3But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

4Nos quais o deus deste século cegou os entendimentos dos incrédulos, para que lhes não resplandeça a luz do evangelho da glória de Cristo, que é a imagem de Deus.

4In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

5Porque não nos pregamos a nós mesmos, mas a Cristo Jesus, o Senhor; e nós mesmos somos vossos servos por amor de Jesus.

5For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

6Porque Deus, que disse que das trevas resplandecesse a luz, é quem resplandeceu em nossos corações, para iluminação do conhecimento da glória de Deus, na face de Jesus Cristo.

6For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to {give} the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. {hath: Gr. is he who hath}

7Temos, porém, este tesouro em vasos de barro, para que a excelência do poder seja de Deus, e não de nós.

7But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

8Em tudo somos atribulados, mas não angustiados; perplexos, mas não desanimados.

8{We are} troubled on every side, yet not distressed; {we are} perplexed, but not in despair; {in despair: or, altogether without help, or, means}

9Perseguidos, mas não desamparados; abatidos, mas não destruídos;

9Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;

10Trazendo sempre por toda a parte a mortificação do Senhor Jesus no nosso corpo, para que a vida de Jesus se manifeste também nos nossos corpos;

10Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

11E assim nós, que vivemos, estamos sempre entregues à morte por amor de Jesus, para que a vida de Jesus se manifeste também na nossa carne mortal.

11For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

12De maneira que em nós opera a morte, mas em vós a vida.

12So then death worketh in us, but life in you.

13E temos portanto o mesmo espírito de fé, como está escrito: Cri, por isso falei; nós cremos também, por isso também falamos.

13We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

14Sabendo que o que ressuscitou o Senhor Jesus nos ressuscitará também por Jesus, e nos apresentará convosco.

14Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present {us} with you.

15Porque tudo isto é por amor de vós, para que a graça, multiplicada por meio de muitos, faça abundar a ação de graças para glória de Deus.

15For all things {are} for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.

16Por isso não desfalecemos; mas, ainda que o nosso homem exterior se corrompa, o interior, contudo, se renova de dia em dia.

16For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward {man} is renewed day by day.

17Porque a nossa leve e momentânea tribulação produz para nós um peso eterno de glória mui excelente;

17For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding {and} eternal weight of glory;

18Não atentando nós nas coisas que se vêem, mas nas que se não vêem; porque as que se vêem são temporais, e as que se não vêem são eternas.

18While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen {are} temporal; but the things which are not seen {are} eternal.
