2 Coríntios 13

1É esta a terceira vez que vou ter convosco. Por boca de duas ou três testemunhas será confirmada toda a palavra.

1This {is} the third {time} I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.

2Já anteriormente o disse, e segunda vez o digo como quando estava presente; mas agora, estando ausente, o escrevo aos que antes pecaram e a todos os mais, que, se outra vez for, não lhes perdoarei;

2I told you before, and foretell you, as if I were present, the second time; and being absent now I write to them which heretofore have sinned, and to all other, that, if I come again, I will not spare:

3Visto que buscais uma prova de Cristo que fala em mim, o qual não é fraco para convosco, antes é poderoso entre vós.

3Since ye seek a proof of Christ speaking in me, which to you-ward is not weak, but is mighty in you.

4Porque, ainda que foi crucificado por fraqueza, vive, contudo, pelo poder de Deus. Porque nós também somos fracos nele, mas viveremos com ele pelo poder de Deus em vós.

4For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you. {in him: or, with him}

5Examinai-vos a vós mesmos, se permaneceis na fé; provai-vos a vós mesmos. Ou não sabeis quanto a vós mesmos, que Jesus Cristo está em vós? Se não é que já estais reprovados.

5Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

6Mas espero que entendereis que nós não somos reprovados.

6But I trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates.

7Ora, eu rogo a Deus que não façais mal algum, não para que sejamos achados aprovados, mas para que vós façais o bem, embora nós sejamos como reprovados.

7Now I pray to God that ye do no evil; not that we should appear approved, but that ye should do that which is honest, though we be as reprobates.

8Porque nada podemos contra a verdade, senão pela verdade.

8For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.

9Porque nos regozijamos de estar fracos, quando vós estais fortes; e o que desejamos é a vossa perfeição.

9For we are glad, when we are weak, and ye are strong: and this also we wish, {even} your perfection. {perfection: or, reformation, or, restoration}

10Portanto, escrevo estas coisas estando ausente, para que, estando presente, não use de rigor, segundo o poder que o Senhor me deu para edificação, e não para destruição.

10Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness, according to the power which the Lord hath given me to edification, and not to destruction.

11Quanto ao mais, irmãos, regozijai-vos, sede perfeitos, sede consolados, sede de um mesmo parecer, vivei em paz; e o Deus de amor e de paz será convosco.

11Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

12Saudai-vos uns aos outros com ósculo santo.

12Greet one another with an holy kiss.

13Todos os santos vos saúdam.

13All the saints salute you.

14A graça do Senhor Jesus Cristo, e o amor de Deus, e a comunhão do Espírito Santo seja com todos vós. Amém.
