2 Clemente 14

1Portanto, irmãos, fazendo a vontade do Pai e guardando a carne pura.

1Therefore, brethren, doing the will of the Father and keeping the flesh pure.

2E observando os mandamentos do Senhor, receberemos vida eterna.

2And observing the commandments of the Lord, we shall receive eternal life.

3Pois o Senhor diz no evangelho: Se não guardastes o que é pequeno, quem vos dará o que é grande?

3For the Lord says in the gospel: If you did not keep what is small, who will give you what is great?

4Porque eu vos digo: quem é fiel no muito pouco também é fiel no muito.

4For I tell you: he who is faithful in very little is also faithful in much.

5Isto, portanto, ele quer dizer: guardai a carne pura e o selo sem mácula, para que possamos receber a vida eterna.

5This, therefore, he means: keep the flesh pure and the seal unstained, that we may receive eternal life.

6E nenhum de vós diga que esta carne não é julgada nem ressuscita.

6And let none of you say that this flesh is not judged nor rises again.

7Compreendei: em que fostes salvos, em que recuperastes a visão, senão nesta carne?

7Understand: in what were you saved, in what did you recover your sight, if not in this flesh?

8Portanto, devemos guardar a carne como templo de Deus.

8Therefore, we must keep the flesh as the temple of God.
