2 Clemente 1

1Irmãos, devemos pensar de Jesus Cristo como pensamos de Deus, como juiz dos vivos e dos mortos.

1Brethren, we ought to think of Jesus Christ as we think of God, as judge of the living and the dead.

2E não devemos pensar pouco de nossa salvação.

2And we ought not to think lightly of our salvation.

3Porque quando pensamos pouco dele, esperamos também receber pouco.

3For when we think lightly of him, we hope also to receive little.

4E aqueles que ouvem como de coisas pequenas, pecam.

4And those who hear as of small things, sin.

5E nós também pecamos, não sabendo de onde fomos chamados, por quem e para que lugar.

5And we also sin, not knowing from where we were called, by whom and to what place.

6E quantos sofrimentos Jesus Cristo suportou por nossa causa.

6And how many sufferings Jesus Christ endured for our sake.

7Que retribuição lhe daremos? Ou que fruto digno do que ele nos deu?

7What recompense shall we give him? Or what fruit worthy of what he has given us?

8E quantos benefícios lhe devemos!

8And how many benefits we owe him!
