2 Baruque 8

1Agora os anjos fizeram como ele lhes ordenara, e quando quebraram os ângulos das paredes, uma voz foi ouvida do interior do templo, depois que a parede caiu, dizendo:

1Now the angels did as he had commanded them, and when they had broken up the angles of the walls, a voice was heard from the interior of the temple, after the wall had fallen, saying:

2"Entrai, inimigos, e vinde adversários; porque Aquele que guardava a casa a abandonou."

2"Enter ye enemies, and come ye adversaries; for He who kept the house has forsaken (it)."

3E eu, Baruque, parti.

3And I, Baruch, departed.

4E aconteceu depois destas coisas que o exército dos caldeus entrou e tomou a casa e tudo o que estava ao redor dela.

4And it came to pass after these things that the army of the Chaldees entered and seized the house, and all that was around it.

5E levaram o povo cativo, e mataram alguns deles; e amarraram o rei Zedequias, e o enviaram ao rei de Babilônia.

5And they led the people away captive, and slew some of them, and bound Zedekiah the king, and sent him to the king of Babylon.
