1E Ele respondeu e disse-me:

1And He answered and said unto me:

2"Essas coisas também te mostrarei. Quanto ao que disseste - 'Para quem serão essas coisas, e quantos (serão)?' - para aqueles que acreditaram, haverá o bem de que foi falado anteriormente, e para aqueles que desprezam, haverá o contrário dessas coisas.

2"These things also will I show unto thee. As for what thou didst say -- 'To whom will these things be, and how many (will they be)?'- to those who have believed there will be the good which was spoken of aforetime, and to those who despise there shall be the contrary of these things.

3E quanto ao que disseste a respeito daqueles que se aproximaram e daqueles que se retiraram, esta é a palavra.

3And as for what thou didst say regarding those who have drawn near and those who have withdrawn, this is the word.

4Quanto àqueles que antes estavam sujeitos, e depois se retiraram e se misturaram com a semente de povos misturados, o tempo destes é o primeiro, e estou meditando coisas profundas.

4As for those who were before subject, and afterwards withdrew and mingled themselves with the seed of mingled peoples, the time of these is the former, and I am meditating deep things.

5E quanto àqueles que antes não conheciam, mas depois conheceram a vida, e se misturaram (apenas) com a semente do povo que se separou no tempo destes (é) o primeiro, estou meditando coisas profundas.

5And as for those who before knew not but afterwards knew life, and mingled (only) with the seed of the people which had separated itself the time of these (is) the former, I am meditating deep things.

6E o tempo sucederá ao tempo e de estação a estação, e um receberá de outro, e então, com vistas à consumação, tudo será comparado de acordo com a medida dos tempos e as horas das estações.

6And time shall succeed to time and season to season, and one shall receive from another, and then with a view to the consummation shall everything be compared according to the measure of the times and the hours of the seasons.

7Pois a corrupção levará aqueles que lhe pertencem, e a vida aqueles que lhe pertencem.

7For corruption will take those that belong to it, and life those that belong to it.

8E o pó será chamado, e lhe será dito: “Devolve o que não é teu e levanta tudo o que guardaste até o seu tempo”.

8And the dust will be called, and there will be said to it: "Give back that which is not thine, and raise up all that thou hast kept until its time."
