2 Baruque 32

1'Mas vocês, se prepararem seus corações para semear neles os frutos da lei, ela os protegerá naquele tempo em que o Poderoso deve abalar toda a criação.

1'But ye, if ye prepare your hearts, so as to sow in them the fruits of the law, it will protect you in that time in which the Mighty One is to shake the whole creation.

2[Porque depois de um pouco de tempo a construção de Sião será abalada para que possa ser construída novamente.

2[Because after a little time the building of Zion will be shaken in order that it may again be built.

3Mas esse edifício não permanecerá, mas será novamente erradicado depois de um tempo e permanecerá desolado até o momento.

3But that building will not remain, but will again after a time be rooted out, and will remain desolate until the time.

4E depois deve ser renovado em glória e aperfeiçoado para sempre.]

4And afterwards it must be renewed in glory, and perfected for evermore.]

5Portanto, não devemos ficar tão angustiados com o mal que já veio, mas com o que ainda está por acontecer.

5Therefore we should not be distressed so much over the evil which has now come as over that which is still to be.

6Pois haverá uma provação maior do que estas duas tribulações quando o Poderoso renovar Sua criação.

6For there will be a greater trial than these two tribulations when the Mighty One will renew His creation.

7E agora não se aproxime de mim por alguns dias, nem me procure até que eu vá até você”.

7And now do not draw near to me for a few days, nor seek me till I come to you."

8E aconteceu que depois de lhes ter falado todas estas palavras, eu, Baruque, segui meu caminho, e quando o povo me viu saindo, levantou a voz e lamentou e disse:

8And it came to pass when I had spoken to them all these words, that I, Baruch, went my way, and when the people saw me setting out, they lifted up their voice and lamented and said:

9“Para onde te afastas de nós, Baruque, e nos abandonas como um pai que abandona seus filhos órfãos e se afasta deles?

9"Whither departest thou from us, Baruch, and forsakest us as a father who forsakes his orphan children, and departs from them?
