2 Baruque 31

1E aconteceu depois dessas coisas que fui até o povo e disse-lhes: 'Reúnam a mim todos os seus anciãos e eu lhes falarei palavras.'

1And it came to pass after these things that I went to the people and said unto them: 'Assemble unto me all your elders and I will speak words unto them.'

2E todos eles se reuniram no vale do Cedron.

2And they all assembled in the valley of the Cedron.

3E eu respondi e disse-lhes: “Ouve, ó Israel, e eu te falarei; e dá ouvidos, ó semente de Jacó, e eu te instruirei.

3And I answered and said unto them: "Hear, O Israel, and I will speak to thee, And give ear, O seed of Jacob, and I will instruct thee.

4Não se esqueça de Sião, mas lembre-se da angústia de Jerusalém.

4Forget not Zion, but hold in remembrance the anguish of Jerusalem.

5Pois eis! chegarão os dias em que tudo o que existe se tornará vítima da corrupção e será como se nunca tivesse existido.

5For lo! the days come, when everything that exists will become the prey of corruption and be as though it had not been.
