1'No entanto, quem entender será então sábio.

1'Nevertheless, whosoever shall understand will then be wise.

2Pois a medida e o cálculo desse tempo são duas partes da semana de sete semanas.'

2For the measure and reckoning of that time are two parts week of seven weeks.'

3E eu respondi e disse: “É bom que o homem venha e veja, mas é melhor que ele não venha para que não caia.

3And I answered and said: "It is good for a man to come and behold, but it is better that he should not come lest he fall.

4[Mas direi isto também:

4[But I will say this also:

5'Será que aquele que é incorruptível desprezará as coisas que são corruptíveis e tudo o que acontece no caso das coisas que são corruptíveis, para que ele possa olhar apenas para as coisas que não são corruptíveis?']

5'Will he who is incorruptible despise those things which are corruptible, and whatever befalls in the case of those things which are corruptible, so that he might look only to those things which are not corruptible?']

6Mas se, ó Senhor, certamente acontecerão aquelas coisas que Tu predisseste para mim; se, além disso, encontrei graça aos teus olhos, mostra-me isso também.

6But if, O Lord, those things shall assuredly come to pass which Thou hast foretold to me; if moreover, I have found grace in Thy sight, show this also unto me.

7É em um lugar ou em uma das partes da terra que essas coisas acontecerão, ou toda a terra irá experimentá-las?"

7Is it in one place or in one of the parts of the earth that those things are come to pass, or will the whole earth experience (them)?"
