2 Baruque 20

1Portanto, eis! os dias chegarão, e os tempos se apressarão mais do que os anteriores, e as estações se apressarão mais do que as que passaram, e os anos passarão mais rapidamente do que os (anos) presentes.

1Therefore, behold! the days come, and the times shall hasten more than the former, and the seasons will speed on more than those that are past, and the years shall pass more quickly than the present (years).

2Portanto, agora tirei Sião, para que eu possa visitar o mundo mais rapidamente em sua época.

2Therefore have I now taken away Zion, in order that I may the more speedily visit the world in its season.

3Agora, portanto, guarde em seu coração tudo o que eu lhe ordeno e sele-o nos recônditos de sua mente.

3Now therefore hold fast in thy heart everything that I command thee, and seal it in the recesses of thy mind.

4E então eu te mostrarei o julgamento do Meu poder e os Meus caminhos que estão além da compreensão.

4And then I will show thee the judgement of My might, and My ways which are past finding out.

5Vai, pois, e santifica-te sete dias, e não comas pão, nem bebas água, nem fales com ninguém.

5Go therefore and sanctify thyself seven days, and eat no bread, nor drink water, nor speak to anyone.

6E depois venha àquele lugar e eu me revelarei a ti, e falarei coisas verdadeiras contigo, e te darei mandamentos a respeito do método dos tempos; pois eles estão vindo e não demoram.

6And afterwards come to that place and I will reveal Myself to thee, and speak true things with thee, and I will give thee commandment regarding the method of the times; for they are coming and tarry not.'
