1Assim foi Salomão rei sobre todo o Israel.

1So king Solomon was king over all Israel.

2E estes eram os príncipes que tinha: Azarias, filho de Zadoque, sacerdote;

2And these {were} the princes which he had; Azariah the son of Zadok the priest, {priest: or, chief officer}

3Eliorefe e Aías, filhos de Sisa, secretários; Jeosafá, filho de Ailude, cronista;

3Elihoreph and Ahiah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, the recorder. {scribes: or, secretaries} {recorder: or, remembrancer}

4Benaia, filho de Joiada, sobre o exército; e Zadoque e Abiatar eram sacerdotes;

4And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada {was} over the host: and Zadok and Abiathar {were} the priests:

5E Azarias, filho de Natã, sobre os provedores; e Zabude, filho de Natã, oficial-mor, amigo do rei;

5And Azariah the son of Nathan {was} over the officers: and Zabud the son of Nathan {was} principal officer, {and} the king's friend:

6E Aisar, mordomo; Adonirão, filho de Abda, sobre o tributo.

6And Ahishar {was} over the household: and Adoniram the son of Abda {was} over the tribute. {tribute: or, levy}

7E tinha Salomão doze oficiais sobre todo o Israel, que proviam ao rei e à sua casa; e cada um tinha que abastecê-lo por um mês no ano.

7And Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, which provided victuals for the king and his household: each man his month in a year made provision.

8E estes são os seus nomes: Ben-Hur, nas montanhas de Efraim;

8And these {are} their names: The son of Hur, in mount Ephraim: {The son...: or, Benhur}

9Ben-Dequer em Macaz, e em Saalbim, e em Bete-Semes, e em Elom, e em Bete-Hanã;

9The son of Dekar, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Bethshemesh, and Elonbethhanan: {The son...: or, Bendekar}

10Ben-Hesede em Arubote; também este tinha a Socó e a toda a terra de Hefer;

10The son of Hesed, in Aruboth; to him {pertained} Sochoh, and all the land of Hepher: {The son...: or, Benhesed}

11Ben-Abinadabe em todo o termo de Dor; tinha este a Tafate, filha de Salomão, por mulher;

11The son of Abinadab, in all the region of Dor; which had Taphath the daughter of Solomon to wife: {The son...: or, Benabinadab}

12Baana, filho de Ailude, tinha a Taanaque, e a Megido, e a toda a Bete-Seã, que está junto a Zaretã, abaixo de Jizreel, desde Bete-Seã até Abel-Meolá, para além de Jocmeão;

12Baana the son of Ahilud; {to him pertained} Taanach and Megiddo, and all Bethshean, which {is} by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Bethshean to Abelmeholah, {even} unto {the place that is} beyond Jokneam:

13O filho de Geber, em Ramote de Gileade; tinha este as aldeias de Jair, filho de Manassés, as quais estão em Gileade; também tinha o termo de Argobe, o qual está em Basã, sessenta grandes cidades, com muros e ferrolhos de cobre;

13The son of Geber, in Ramothgilead; to him {pertained} the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh, which {are} in Gilead; to him {also pertained} the region of Argob, which {is} in Bashan, threescore great cities with walls and brasen bars: {The son...: or, Bengeber}

14Ainadabe, filho de Ido, em Maanaim.

14Ahinadab the son of Iddo {had} Mahanaim: {Mahanaim: or, to Mahanaim}

15Aimaás em Naftali; também este tomou a Basemate, filha de Salomão, por mulher;

15Ahimaaz {was} in Naphtali; he also took Basmath the daughter of Solomon to wife:

16Baaná, filho de Husai, em Aser e em Alote;

16Baanah the son of Hushai {was} in Asher and in Aloth:

17Jeosafá, filho de Parua, em Issacar;

17Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar:

18Simei, filho de Elá, em Benjamim:

18Shimei the son of Elah, in Benjamin:

19Geber, filho de Uri, na terra de Gileade, a terra de Siom, rei dos amorreus, e de Ogue, rei de Basã; e só uma guarnição havia naquela terra.

19Geber the son of Uri {was} in the country of Gilead, {in} the country of Sihon king of the Amorites, and of Og king of Bashan; and {he was} the only officer which {was} in the land.

20Eram, pois, os de Judá e Israel muitos, como a areia que está junto ao mar em multidão, comendo, e bebendo, e alegrando-se.

20Judah and Israel {were} many, as the sand which {is} by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking, and making merry.

21E dominava Salomão sobre todos os reinos desde o rio até à terra dos filisteus, e até ao termo do Egito; os quais traziam presentes, e serviram a Salomão todos os dias da sua vida.

21And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.

22Era, pois, o provimento de Salomão cada dia, trinta coros de flor de farinha, e sessenta coros de farinha;

22And Solomon's provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and threescore measures of meal, {provision: Heb. bread} {measures: Heb. cors}

23Dez bois cevados, e vinte bois de pasto, e cem carneiros; afora os veados e as cabras montesas, e os corços, e aves cevadas.

23Ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and an hundred sheep, beside harts, and roebucks, and fallowdeer, and fatted fowl.

24Porque dominava sobre tudo quanto havia do lado de cá do rio, Tifsa até Gaza, sobre todos os reis do lado de cá do rio; e tinha paz de todos os lados em redor dele.

24For he had dominion over all {the region} on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.

25E Judá e Israel habitavam seguros, cada um debaixo da sua videira, e debaixo da sua figueira, desde Dã até Berseba, todos os dias de Salomão.

25And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beersheba, all the days of Solomon. {safely: Heb. confidently}

26Tinha também Salomão quarenta mil estrebarias de cavalos para os seus carros, e doze mil cavaleiros.

26And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.

27Proviam, pois, estes provedores, cada um no seu mês, ao rei Salomão e a todos quantos se chegaram à mesa do rei Salomão; coisa nenhuma deixavam faltar.

27And those officers provided victual for king Solomon, and for all that came unto king Solomon's table, every man in his month: they lacked nothing.

28E traziam a cevada e a palha para os cavalos e para os ginetes, para o lugar onde estava, cada um segundo o seu cargo.

28Barley also and straw for the horses and dromedaries brought they unto the place where {the officers} were, every man according to his charge. {dromedaries: or, mules, or, swift beasts}

29E deu Deus a Salomão sabedoria, e muitíssimo entendimento, e largueza de coração, como a areia que está na praia do mar.

29And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that {is} on the sea shore.

30E era a sabedoria de Salomão maior do que a sabedoria de todos os do oriente e do que toda a sabedoria dos egípcios.

30And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.

31E era ele ainda mais sábio do que todos os homens, e do que Etã, ezraíta, e Hemã, e Calcol, e Darda, filhos de Maol; e correu o seu nome por todas as nações em redor.

31For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.

32E disse três mil provérbios, e foram os seus cânticos mil e cinco.

32And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.

33Também falou das árvores, desde o cedro que está no Líbano até ao hissopo que nasce na parede; também falou dos animais e das aves, e dos répteis e dos peixes.

33And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that {is} in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes.

34E vinham de todos os povos a ouvir a sabedoria de Salomão, e de todos os reis da terra que tinham ouvido da sua sabedoria.

34And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.
