1 Esdras 7

1Então Sisinnes, governador de Celosíria e Fenícia, e Sathrabuzanes, com seus companheiros, seguindo os mandamentos do rei Dario,

1Then Sisinnes the governor of Celosyria and Phenice, and Sathrabuzanes, with their companions following the commandments of king Darius,

2Supervisionou com muito cuidado as obras sagradas, ajudando os antigos judeus e os governadores do templo.

2Did very carefully oversee the holy works, assisting the ancients of the Jews and governors of the temple.

3E assim as obras sagradas prosperaram, quando Aggeus e Zacarias, os profetas, profetizaram.

3And so the holy works prospered, when Aggeus and Zacharias the prophets prophesied.

4E eles terminaram essas coisas pelo mandamento do Senhor Deus de Israel, e com o consentimento de Ciro, Dario e Artexerxes, reis da Pérsia.

4And they finished these things by the commandment of the Lord God of Israel, and with the consent of Cyrus, Darius, and Artexerxes, kings of Persia.

5E assim foi a casa sagrada terminada no vigésimo terceiro dia do mês de Adar, no sexto ano de Dario, rei dos persas.

5And thus was the holy house finished in the three and twentieth day of the month Adar, in the sixth year of Darius king of the Persians

6E os filhos de Israel, os sacerdotes e os levitas, e outros que eram do cativeiro, que foram adicionados a eles, fizeram de acordo com as coisas escritas no livro de Moisés.

6And the children of Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and others that were of the captivity, that were added unto them, did according to the things written in the book of Moses.

7E à dedicação do templo do Senhor ofereceram cem novilhos, duzentos carneiros, quatrocentos cordeiros;

7And to the dedication of the temple of the Lord they offered an hundred bullocks two hundred rams, four hundred lambs;

8E doze bodes pelo pecado de todo o Israel, segundo o número dos chefes das tribos de Israel.

8And twelve goats for the sin of all Israel, according to the number of the chief of the tribes of Israel.

9Também os sacerdotes e os levitas estavam vestidos com as suas vestes, segundo as suas famílias, no serviço do Senhor Deus de Israel, segundo o livro de Moisés, e os porteiros em todas as portas.

9The priests also and the Levites stood arrayed in their vestments, according to their kindreds, in the service of the Lord God of Israel, according to the book of Moses: and the porters at every gate.

10E os filhos de Israel que eram do cativeiro celebraram a páscoa no dia catorze do primeiro mês, depois que os sacerdotes e os levitas foram santificados.

10And the children of Israel that were of the captivity held the passover the fourteenth day of the first month, after that the priests and the Levites were sanctified.

11Os que eram do cativeiro não foram todos santificados juntos; mas os levitas foram todos santificados juntos.

11They that were of the captivity were not all sanctified together: but the Levites were all sanctified together.

12E assim ofereceram a páscoa por todos os do cativeiro, e por seus irmãos, os sacerdotes, e por si mesmos.

12And so they offered the passover for all them of the captivity, and for their brethren the priests, and for themselves.

13E os filhos de Israel que saíram do cativeiro comeram, sim, todos os que se separaram das abominações do povo da terra, e buscaram ao Senhor.

13And the children of Israel that came out of the captivity did eat, even all they that had separated themselves from the abominations of the people of the land, and sought the Lord.

14E celebraram a festa dos pães ázimos por sete dias, alegrando-se perante o Senhor,

14And they kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days, making merry before the Lord,

15Porquanto lhes tinha voltado o conselho do rei da Assíria, para lhes fortalecer as mãos nas obras do Senhor Deus de Israel.

15For that he had turned the counsel of the king of Assyria toward them, to strengthen their hands in the works of the Lord God of Israel.
