1Agora, meu filho, Matusalém, convoca em torno de meus a todos seus irmãos, reúne a meu redor a todos os filhos de sua mãe, porque a palavra me chama e o espírito se verteu sobre mim, para que lhes revele tudo o que acontecerá, até a eternidade.

1After this, Enoch began to instruct from a book.

2Assim Matusalém foi e se juntou com todos seus irmãos e congregou a seus parentes;

2And Enoch said, Concerning the children of righteousness, concerning the elect of the world, and concerning the plant of righteousness and integrity;

3e Enoque lhe falou com todos os filhos de justiça e lhes disse: Ouçam filhos do Enoque todas as palavras de seu pai e atendam a palavra de minha boca, pois é a vós a quem precatório e digo bem amados, amem a justiça e caminhem com ela.

3Concerning these things I will speak, and declare to you my children, I who am Enoch. By reason of that which has appeared to me in my heavenly visions, and from the voice of the holy angels I have obtained knowledge, and from the tablet of heaven I have obtained understanding.

4Não lhes aproximem da justiça com um coração dobro nem lhes associem com os de dobro coração; caminhem com retidão meus filhos, guiará-lhes por bons caminhos e a justiça lhes acompanhará.

4Enoch then began to instruct from a book, and said, I have been born the seventh in the first week, so long as judgment and righteousness were with patience.

5Sei que a violência se incrementa sobre a terra e um grande castigo vai executar se sobre ela e toda injustiça será exterminada, atalho de raiz e suas estruturas serão completamente demolidas.

5But after me in the second week, great wickedness shall arise, and deceit shall shoot forth.

6A injustiça vai a ser consumada de novo sobre a terra e todas as ações de injustiça, opressão e transgressão se duplicarão e prevalecerão.

6In that week will be the end of the first, in which mankind will be safe.

7Mas quando toda classe de obras de pecado, injustiça, blasfémia e violência se incrementaram e a apostasia, a desobediência e a impureza aumentem, um grande castigo do céu virá sobre a terra e o Senhor santo virá com ira e castigo sobre a terra para executar o julgamento.

7But when the second is completed, wickedness shall increase, and in the third week he shall execute the decree upon sinners.

8Nessa época a violência serão atalho de raiz e da injustiça e do engano serão destruídas sob o céu.

8Afterwards in the accomplishment of the third week a man for a plant of the judgment of righteousness shall be chosen, and after him the plant of righteousness shall come for ever.

9Todos os ídolos das nações e seus templos serão abandonados, queimados com fogo e desterrados de toda a terra.

9Afterwards in the accomplishment of the fourth week, the visions of the holy and the righteous shall be seen, and the law from generation to generation, and a tabernacle shall be made for them; and after this in the accomplishment of the fifth week, the house of glory and dominion shall be erected for ever.

10Os justos se levantarão de seus sonhos, a sabedoria surgirá e lhes será dada e a terra descansará por todas as gerações futuras.

10After that in the sixth week, all who are in it shall be darkened, and the hearts of them all will forget wisdom, and in it a man shall ascend to heaven.

11E agora vou lhes falar meus filhos para lhes mostrar todos os caminhos de justiça e todos os caminhos de violência e de novo lhes mostrarei isso para que saibam o que vai ocorrer.

11And in its accomplishment the house of dominion shall be burnt with fire, and in the same the whole generation of the elect root shall be dispersed.

12Agora pois, meus filhos, me escutem e escolham os caminhos de justiça e rechacem os da violência, porque partem para a destruição completa todos os que vão pelo caminho da injustiça.

12Afterwards, in the seventh week, a perverse generation shall arise, its deeds shall be many, and all its deeds perverse, but in its accomplishment the righteous chosen from the plants of eternal righteousness shall be rewarded, and to them shall be given sevenfold instruction concerning all his creation.

13O que escreveu Enoque e entregou a Matusalém seu filho, e a todos os que habitam a terra firme para que obrem o bem e a paz:

13And afterwards there shall be another week, the eighth of righteousness, in which a sword shall be given to execute judgment and justice on all oppress ors.

14Não lhes angustiem em seu espírito por causa dos tempos, porque o Grande Santo deu um tempo para tudo.

14And sinners shall be delivered into the hands of the righteous, and in its accomplishment they shall obtain habitations by their righteousness, and the house of the great King shall be built up for ever. And after that, in the ninth week, the judgment of righteousness shall be revealed to the whole world.

15Os justos se levantarão de seu sonho e avançarão por atalhos de justiça e todos seus caminhos e palavras serão de retidão e graça.

15And all the works of the ungodly shall vanish away from all the earth, the destruction of the world shall be appointed, and all men shall look out for the way of righteousness.

16Ele outorgará a graça aos justos e lhes dará sua eterna justiça e seu poder; Ele permanecerá em bondade e justiça e partirá com luz eterna.

16And after this on the seventh day of the tenth week, there shall be an everlasting judgment, which shall be executed upon the watchers, and an extensive heaven shall spring forth in the middle of the angels, which shall remain for evermore.

17Em troca, o pecado se perderá nas trevas para sempre e não aparecerá mais desde esse dia até a eternidade.

17The former heaven shall depart and pass away, a new heaven shall appear, and all the heavenly powers shall shine with sevenfold splendour for ever, and afterwards there shall be weeks without number, which shall exist in goodness and in righteousness for evermore.

18Enoque reatou seu discurso dizendo:

18And from that time sin shall not be mentioned there for ever and ever.

19A propósito dos filhos da Justiça e sobre o Eleito do mundo, que cresceu como planta de verdade e de justiça, falarei-lhes e lhes darei a conhecer eu mesmo, meus filhos, conforme entendi e me revelou tudo por uma visão celestial e pela voz dos Vigilantes e os Santos. Nas pranchas celestiais tenho lido e entendido tudo.

19And who is there of all the children of men, who is able to hear the voice of the holy One, and not to be agitated?

20—

20And who is there that is able to think his thoughts? Who is able to behold all the work of the beautiful heavens? And who is there that can under stand the deeds of heaven?

21—

21He may behold its animation, but not its spirit, and he may be able to speak about it, but he cannot ascend to it, and he may see the boundaries of these things, and consider them, but he can make nothing like them.

22—

22And who is there among all men who is able to understand the breadth and length of the earth?

23—

23And by whom hath the greatness of all these things been shewn? Is it every man who is able to know the extent of heaven, and find out its elevation, and whereon it is made to remain?

24—

24And how great is the number of the stars? And where is the rest of the lights of heaven?
