1Então Miguel, Gabriel, Rafael, e Uriel observaram a terra do santuário dos céus e viram muito sangue derramado sobre a terra e estava toda cheia da injustiça e da violência que se cometia sobre ela.

1And the four great archangels, Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, and Uriel, heard, and from the saints of heaven they looked upon the earth, and saw the quantity of blood which was shed on earth, and all the iniquity which was done upon it, and they said one to another, It is the voice of their cries.

2Considerando isto, os quatro foram e se disseram: o grito e o lamento pela destruição dos filhos da terra sobe até as portas do céu.

2The earth bereaved of her children cries even to the gate of heaven.

3E disseram aos Santos do céu: É agora a vós a quem as almas dos filhos dos homens suplicam dizendo levem nossa causa ante o Altíssimo, nossa destruição ante a glória majestosa e ante o Senhor de todos os senhores quanto à majestade.

3And now, Oh ye holy ones of heaven, to you the souls of men complain, and say, Procure us justice from the Highest; then they said to their Lord the King, You are Lord of lords, God of gods, King of kings, the throne of your glory is for ever and ever, and for ever and ever, your name shall be sanctified and glorified, you are praised and glorified.

4E disseram ao Senhor Eterno: Ó Senhor de senhores, Deus de deuses, e Rei de reis; os céus são o trono de sua glória por todas as gerações dos séculos dos séculos; toda a terra é a banqueta ante ti para sempre, e seu nome é grande, santo e bendito por toda a eternidade.

4You have made all things, you have power over all things, and all things are open and manifest before you; you see all things, and nothing can be concealed from you.

5É você quem todo o criou e em ti reside o poder sobre todas as coisas; tudo é descoberto em toda sua nudez ante ti; você o vê tudo e nada te pode esconder.

5You have seen what Azaziel has done, how he has taught every kind of wickedness upon the earth, and has discovered to the world all the secret things which are done in the heavens.

6Você viu o que tem feito Azaso, como ensinou toda injustiça sobre a terra seca e revelação dos segredos eternos que se cumprem nos céus;

6Samiaza also has taught sorcery, to whom you have given power over those who are associated with him, and they have gone together to the daughters of men, have laid with them, and have been defiled.

7e vês o que fez Samiaza, ao que você tinha dado a faculdade de governar sobre seus companheiros.

7And have disclosed crimes to them. *

8Eles foram para as filhas dos homens e se deitaram com elas e se profanaram a si mesmos lhes descobrindo todo pecado.

8The women likewise have brought forth giants.

9Logo, estas mulheres pariram no mundo gigantes, por isso a terra se encheu de sangue e injustiça.

9So the whole earth has been filled with blood, and with wickedness.

10E agora olhe que as almas dos que morreram gritam e se lamentam até as portas do céu e seu gemido subiu e não pode cessar devido à injustiça que se comete na terra.

10And now, behold, the souls of those who are dead cry out,

11Mas você que conhece todas as coisas antes de que aconteçam, você que sabe aquilo, você os tolera e não nos diz o que devemos lhes fazer ao observar isso.

11And complain even to the gate of heaven.

12Their groanings ascend, but they cannot escape from the wickedness which is done on the earth. You know all things before they exist.

13—

13You know these things, and what has been done by them, yet you speak not to us.

14—

14What in regard to these things ought we to do to them.
