1Me foram mostradas outras montanhas e também nelas vi árvores dos quais saía a resina chamada Sarira e Kálboneba.

1After these things, I beheld the entrances of the north above the mountains, and perceived seven mountains filled with pure spikenard, odoriferous trees, cinnamon, and papyrus.

2Mais à frente tudas as árvores tudas as árvores estavam cheias de resina que era semelhante à casca da amendoeira.

2From thence I went on above the tops of these mountains to some distance towards the east, and went over the Erythroean sea, and when I was advanced far beyond it, I went on above the angel Zateel, and came to the garden of righteousness, and in this garden I saw among other trees, some which were numerous and large, and which flourished there.

3Quando se quebra nestas árvores sai deles um aroma perfumado e quando se demolem as cascas são superiores a qualquer perfume.

3Their fragrance was good and strong, and their appearance was various and beautiful; the tree of knowledge also was there, and if any one eats of it he will obtain more wisdom.

4It was like a sort of the tamarind tree, and bare fruit like very fine grapes, and its fragrance extended to a considerable distance. I exclaimed, How beautiful is this tree, and how pleasant is its appearance.

5Then answered Raphael, an angel who was with me, and said, This is the tree of knowledge of which thy ancient father, and thy aged mother ate, who were before thee, and who received knowledge, when their eyes were opened they saw that they were naked, but they were driven out of the garden.
