1E ele me disse: Enoque, para que me pergunta pelo perfume dessa árvore e para que quer saber a verdade?

1I went from thence to the middle of the earth, and saw a happy and fruitful land, in which branches continually germinated from the trees which were planted thereon; there I saw a holy mountain, and beneath it water on the eastern side, which flowed towards the south, I saw also on the east side another mountain as high as that, and there were deep but not wide valleys between them.

2Então, eu, Enoque, respondi-lhe assim: Desejo aprender de tudo, mas especialmente a respeito desta árvore.

2Water ran towards the mountain to the west of this; and beneath them there was also another mountain.

3E ele me respondeu dizendo: Esta montanha alta que viu e cujo topo é como o trono de Deus, é seu trono, onde se sentará o Grande Santo, o Senhor de Glória, o Rei Eterno, quando descender a visitar a terra com bondade.

3There was a valley but not wide below it, and in the midst of them there were other deep and dry valleys towards the ends of the three, and all these valleys which were deep, but not wide, consisted of a strong rock, and a tree which was planted on them, and I wondered at the rock and valleys, and was much surprised.

4Não se permite que nenhum ser de carne toque esta árvore aromática, até o grande julgamento quando Ele se vingará de tudo e levará todas as coisas a sua consumação para sempre, mas então será dado aos justos e aos humildes.

5Seu fruto servirá como alimento aos escolhidos e será transplantado ao lugar santo, ao templo do Senhor, o Rei Eterno.

6Então eles se regozijarão e estarão alegres; entrarão no lugar santo e a fragrância penetrará seus ossos; e eles viverão uma larga vida, tal e como a que seus antepassados viveram. Em seus dias não os tocará nenhum sofrimento nem praga nem tortura nem calamidade.

7Então benzi ao Deus da Glória, ao Rei Eterno, porque tinha preparado tais coisas para os humanos, para os justos. Estas coisas Ele as criou e prometeu as dar-lhe.
