1 Enoque 15

1E ele me correspondeu e me falou e eu ouvi sua voz: Não tema Enoque, homem justo, escriba de justiça; te aproxima e escuta minha voz.

1Then turning himself to me, he spake and said, Hear and fear not, Oh righteous Enoch, thou scribe of righteousness, draw near hither, and hear my voice, Go say to the watchers of heaven, who have sent thee to pray for them, you ought to pray for men and not men for you.

2Vê e lhe diga aos Vigilantes do céu que lhe enviaram a suplicar por eles: A vós corresponde interceder pelos humanos e não aos humanos por vós.

2Wherefore have ye forsaken the exalted and holy heaven which remains for ever, and have laid with women, have polluted yourselves with the daughters of men, have taken to yourselves wives, have done like the sons of the earth and begotten a wicked offspring.

3Por que hão abandonando o céu alto, santo e eterno, haveis deitado com mulheres e profanado a vós mesmos com as filhas dos homens e tomado esposas como os filhos da terra e engendrastes filhos gigantes?

3Ye who were spiritual, holy, and live a life which is eternal, have defiled yourselves with women, have begotten in carnal blood, have lusted in the blood of men, and have done like those of flesh and blood.

4Vós que foram Santos espirituais vivendo uma vida eterna lho manchastes com o sangue das mulheres e engendrastes com o sangue da carne e como os filhos do homem desejastes depois carne e sangue como aqueles que morrem e perecem.

4These however die and perish.

5Por isso eu lhes dei mulheres para que as fecundem e engendrem filhos por elas e para que assim não faltem eles sobre a terra.

5Therefore I have given unto them wives, that they might cohabit with them, that sons might be born of them, and that this might be done on earth.

6Quanto a vós, foram primeiro espirituais, vivendo uma vida eterna, imortal por todas as gerações do mundo;

6But you were made spirits from the beginning, and possess a life which is eternal, and are not subject to death for ever.

7por isso não lhes atribuíram mulheres, pois a morada dos espíritos celestiais é o céu.

7Therefore I made not wives for you, because ye are spiritual, and your dwelling was in heaven.

8E agora, quão gigantes que nasceram dos espíritos e da carne, serão chamados na terra espíritos imundos e sobre a terra estará sua morada.

8Now the giants who have been born of spirit and flesh, shall be called evil spirits on earth, and on earth shall be their abode, evil spirits shall come forth from their flesh, because they were created from above, their beginning and original foundation was from the holy watchers; they shall be evil spirits on earth, and they shall be called the spirits of the wicked; the habitation of the spirits of heaven shall be in heaven, but terrestrial spirits who are born on earth shall have their habitation on the earth.

9Os espíritos maus procedem de seus corpos, porque nasceram dos humanos e dos Santos Vigilantes é seu começo e origem primitiva. Estarão os espíritos maus sobre a terra e serão chamados espíritos imundos.

9The spirits of the giants shall be like clouds, which shall oppress, corrupt, fall, quarrel, and wound on earth.

10Os espíritos do céu têm sua casa no céu e os espíritos da terra que foram engendrados sobre a terra têm sua casa na terra.

10They shall cause lamentation, they shall eat no food, and they shall be thirsty, they shall be hidden, and shall not rise up against the sons of men and against women, for they shall come forth during the days of slaughter and destruction.

11E os espíritos dos gigantes, dos nefilim, que afligem, oprimem, invadem, combatem e destroem sobre a terra e causam penalidades, eles embora que não comem têm fome e sede e causam danos.

12Estes espíritos se levantarão contra os filhos dos homens e contra as mulheres porque deles procedem.
