1 Crônicas 15

1Davi também fez casa para si na cidade de Davi; e preparou um lugar para a arca de Deus, e armou-lhe uma tenda.

1And {David} made him houses in the city of David, and prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent.

2Então disse Davi: Ninguém pode levar a arca de Deus, senão os levitas; porque o Senhor os escolheu, para levar a arca de Deus, e para o servirem eternamente.

2Then David said, None ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites: for them hath the LORD chosen to carry the ark of God, and to minister unto him for ever. {None...: Heb. It is not to carry the ark of God, but for the Levites}

3E Davi convocou a todo o Israel em Jerusalém, para fazer subir a arca do Senhor ao seu lugar, que lhe tinha preparado.

3And David gathered all Israel together to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the LORD unto his place, which he had prepared for it.

4E Davi reuniu os filhos de Arão e os levitas:

4And David assembled the children of Aaron, and the Levites:

5Dos filhos de Coate: Uriel, o chefe, e de seus irmãos cento e vinte.

5Of the sons of Kohath; Uriel the chief, and his brethren an hundred and twenty: {brethren: or, kinsmen}

6Dos filhos de Merari: Asaías, o chefe, e de seus irmãos duzentos e vinte.

6Of the sons of Merari; Asaiah the chief, and his brethren two hundred and twenty:

7Dos filhos de Gérson: Joel, o chefe, e de seus irmãos cento e trinta.

7Of the sons of Gershom; Joel the chief, and his brethren an hundred and thirty:

8Dos filhos de Elizafã: Semaías, o chefe, e de seus irmãos duzentos.

8Of the sons of Elizaphan; Shemaiah the chief, and his brethren two hundred:

9Dos filhos de Hebrom: Eliel, o chefe, e de seus irmãos oitenta.

9Of the sons of Hebron; Eliel the chief, and his brethren fourscore:

10Dos filhos de Uziel: Aminadabe, o chefe, e de seus irmãos cento e doze.

10Of the sons of Uzziel; Amminadab the chief, and his brethren an hundred and twelve.

11E chamou Davi os sacerdotes Zadoque e Abiatar, e os levitas, Uriel, Asaías, Joel, Semaías, Eliel, e Aminadabe.

11And David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites, for Uriel, Asaiah, and Joel, Shemaiah, and Eliel, and Amminadab,

12E disse-lhes: Vós sois os chefes dos pais entre os levitas; santificai-vos, vós e vossos irmãos, para que façais subir a arca do Senhor Deus de Israel, ao lugar que lhe tenho preparado.

12And said unto them, Ye {are} the chief of the fathers of the Levites: sanctify yourselves, {both} ye and your brethren, that ye may bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel unto {the place that} I have prepared for it.

13Porquanto vós não a levastes na primeira vez, o Senhor nosso Deus fez rotura em nós, porque não o buscamos segundo a ordenança.

13For because ye {did it} not at the first, the LORD our God made a breach upon us, for that we sought him not after the due order.

14Santificaram-se, pois, os sacerdotes e os levitas, para fazerem subir a arca do Senhor Deus de Israel.

14So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel.

15E os filhos dos levitas trouxeram a arca de Deus sobre os seus ombros, pelas varas que nela havia, como Moisés tinha ordenado conforme a palavra do Senhor.

15And the children of the Levites bare the ark of God upon their shoulders with the staves thereon, as Moses commanded according to the word of the LORD.

16E disse Davi aos chefes dos levitas que constituíssem, de seus irmãos, cantores, para que com instrumentos musicais, com alaúdes, harpas e címbalos, se fizessem ouvir, levantando a voz com alegria.

16And David spake to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethren {to be} the singers with instruments of musick, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding, by lifting up the voice with joy.

17Designaram, pois, os levitas a Hemã, filho de Joel; e dos seus irmãos, Asafe, filho de Berequias; e dos filhos de Merari, seus irmãos, Etã, filho de Cusaías.

17So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel; and of his brethren, Asaph the son of Berechiah; and of the sons of Merari their brethren, Ethan the son of Kushaiah;

18E com eles a seus irmãos da segunda ordem: a Zacarias, Bene, Jaaziel, Semiramote, Jeiel, Uni, Eliabe, Benaia, Maaséias, Matitias, Elifeleu, Micnéias, Obede-Edom, e Jeiel, os porteiros.

18And with them their brethren of the second {degree}, Zechariah, Ben, and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obededom, and Jeiel, the porters.

19E os cantores, Hemã, Asafe e Etã, se faziam ouvir com címbalos de metal;

19So the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, {were appointed} to sound with cymbals of brass;

20E Zacarias, Aziel, Semiramote, Jeiel, Uni, Eliabe, Maaséias, e Benaia, com alaúdes, sobre Alamote:

20And Zechariah, and Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, and Eliab, and Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with psalteries on Alamoth;

21E Matitias, Elifeleu, Micnéias, Obede-Edom, Jeiel, e Azazias, com harpas, sobre Seminite, para sobressaírem.

21And Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obededom, and Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps on the Sheminith to excel. {on the...: or, on the eighth to oversee}

22E Quenanias, chefe dos levitas, tinha o encargo de dirigir o canto; ensinava-os a entoá-lo, porque era entendido.

22And Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, {was} for song: he instructed about the song, because he {was} skilful. {was for...: or, was for the carriage: he instructed about the carriage} {song: Heb. lifting up}

23E Berequias e Elcana eram porteiros da arca.

23And Berechiah and Elkanah {were} doorkeepers for the ark.

24E Sebanias, Jeosafá, Netanel, Amasai, Zacarias, Benaia, e Eliezer, os sacerdotes, tocavam as trombetas perante a arca de Deus; e Obede-Edom e Jeías eram porteiros da arca.

24And Shebaniah, and Jehoshaphat, and Nethaneel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, did blow with the trumpets before the ark of God: and Obededom and Jehiah {were} doorkeepers for the ark.

25Sucedeu, pois, que Davi e os anciãos de Israel, e os capitães dos milhares, foram, com alegria, para fazer subir a arca da aliança do Senhor, da casa de Obede-Edom.

25So David, and the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands, went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the house of Obededom with joy.

26E sucedeu que, ajudando Deus os levitas que levavam a arca da aliança do Senhor, sacrificaram sete novilhos e sete carneiros.

26And it came to pass, when God helped the Levites that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, that they offered seven bullocks and seven rams.

27E Davi ia vestido de um manto de linho fino, como também todos os levitas que levavam a arca, e os cantores, e Quenanias, mestre dos cantores; também Davi levava sobre si um éfode de linho,

27And David {was} clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites that bare the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the master of the song with the singers: David also {had} upon him an ephod of linen. {song: or, carriage}

28E todo o Israel fez subir a arca da aliança do Senhor, com júbilo, e ao som de buzinas, e de trombetas, e de címbalos, fazendo ressoar alaúdes e harpas.

28Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the LORD with shouting, and with sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, making a noise with psalteries and harps.

29E sucedeu que, chegando a arca da aliança do Senhor à cidade de Davi, Mical, a filha de Saul, olhou de uma janela, e, vendo a Davi dançar e tocar, o desprezou no seu coração.

29And it came to pass, {as} the ark of the covenant of the LORD came to the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looking out at a window saw king David dancing and playing: and she despised him in her heart.
