1 Crônicas 12

1Estes, porém, são os que vieram a Davi, a Ziclague, estando ele ainda escondido, por causa de Saul, filho de Quis; e eram dos valentes que o ajudaram na guerra.

1Now these {are} they that came to David to Ziklag, while he yet kept himself close because of Saul the son of Kish: and they {were} among the mighty men, helpers of the war. {while...: Heb. being yet shut up}

2Estavam armados de arco, e usavam tanto da mão direita como da esquerda em atirar pedras e em atirar flechas com o arco; eram dos irmãos de Saul, benjamitas.

2{They were} armed with bows, and could use both the right hand and the left in {hurling} stones and {shooting} arrows out of a bow, {even} of Saul's brethren of Benjamin.

3Aiezer, o chefe, e Joás, filho de Semaa, o gibeatita, e Jeziel e Pelete, filhos de Azmavete; e Beraca, e Jeú, o anatotita,

3The chief {was} Ahiezer, then Joash, the sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite; and Jeziel, and Pelet, the sons of Azmaveth; and Berachah, and Jehu the Antothite, {Shemaah: or, Hasmaah}

4E Ismaías, o gibeonita, valente entre os trinta, líder deles; e Jeremias, e Jaaziel, e Joanã, e Jozabade, o gederatita,

4And Ismaiah the Gibeonite, a mighty man among the thirty, and over the thirty; and Jeremiah, and Jahaziel, and Johanan, and Josabad the Gederathite,

5Eluzai, e Jerimote, e Bealias, e Samarias, e Sefatias, o harufita,

5Eluzai, and Jerimoth, and Bealiah, and Shemariah, and Shephatiah the Haruphite,

6Elcana, Issias, Azarel, Joezer, e Jasobeão, os coraítas,

6Elkanah, and Jesiah, and Azareel, and Joezer, and Jashobeam, the Korhites,

7E Joela, e Zabadias, filhos de Jeroão de Gedor.

7And Joelah, and Zebadiah, the sons of Jeroham of Gedor.

8E dos gaditas se desertaram para Davi, ao lugar forte no deserto, valentes, homens de guerra para pelejar, armados com escudo e lança; e seus rostos eram como rostos de leões, e ligeiros como corças sobre os montes:

8And of the Gadites there separated themselves unto David into the hold to the wilderness men of might, {and} men of war {fit} for the battle, that could handle shield and buckler, whose faces {were like} the faces of lions, and {were} as swift as the roes upon the mountains; {of war: Heb. of the host} {as swift...: Heb. as the roes upon the mountains to make haste}

9Ezer, o primeiro; Obadias, o segundo; Eliabe, o terceiro;

9Ezer the first, Obadiah the second, Eliab the third,

10Mismana, o quarto; Jeremias, o quinto;

10Mishmannah the fourth, Jeremiah the fifth,

11Atai, o sexto; Eliel, o sétimo;

11Attai the sixth, Eliel the seventh,

12Joanã, o oitavo; Elzabade, o nono;

12Johanan the eighth, Elzabad the ninth,

13Jeremias, o décimo; Macbanai, o undécimo;

13Jeremiah the tenth, Machbanai the eleventh.

14Estes, dos filhos de Gade, foram os capitães do exército; o menor tinha o encargo de cem homens e o maior de mil.

14These {were} of the sons of Gad, captains of the host: one of the least {was} over an hundred, and the greatest over a thousand. {one...: or, one that was least could resist an hundred, and the greatest a thousand}

15Estes são os que passaram o Jordão no primeiro mês, quando ele transbordava por todas as suas ribanceiras, e fizeram fugir a todos os dos vales ao oriente e ao ocidente.

15These {are} they that went over Jordan in the first month, when it had overflown all his banks; and they put to flight all {them} of the valleys, {both} toward the east, and toward the west. {overflown: Heb. filled over}

16Também alguns dos filhos de Benjamim e de Judá vieram a Davi, ao lugar forte.

16And there came of the children of Benjamin and Judah to the hold unto David.

17E Davi lhes saiu ao encontro, e lhes falou, dizendo: Se vós vindes a mim pacificamente e para me ajudar, o meu coração se unirá convosco; porém, se é para me entregar aos meus inimigos, sem que haja deslealdade nas minhas mãos, o Deus de nossos pais o veja e o repreenda.

17And David went out to meet them, and answered and said unto them, If ye be come peaceably unto me to help me, mine heart shall be knit unto you: but if {ye be come} to betray me to mine enemies, seeing {there is} no wrong in mine hands, the God of our fathers look {thereon}, and rebuke {it}. {to meet...: Heb. before them} {be knit: Heb. be one} {wrong: or, violence}

18Então veio o espírito sobre Amasai, chefe de trinta, e disse: Nós somos teus, ó Davi, e contigo estamos, ó filho de Jessé! Paz, paz contigo, e paz com quem te ajuda, pois que teu Deus te ajuda. E Davi os recebeu, e os fez capitães das tropas.

18Then the spirit came upon Amasai, {who was} chief of the captains, {and he said}, Thine {are we}, David, and on thy side, thou son of Jesse: peace, peace {be} unto thee, and peace {be} to thine helpers; for thy God helpeth thee. Then David received them, and made them captains of the band. {came...: Heb. clothed}

19Também de Manassés alguns passaram para Davi, quando veio com os filisteus para a batalha contra Saul; todavia Davi não os ajudou, porque os príncipes dos filisteus, tendo feito conselho, o despediram, dizendo: À custa de nossas cabeças passará a Saul, seu senhor.

19And there fell {some} of Manasseh to David, when he came with the Philistines against Saul to battle: but they helped them not: for the lords of the Philistines upon advisement sent him away, saying, He will fall to his master Saul to {the jeopardy of} our heads. {to the...: Heb. on our heads}

20Voltando ele, pois, a Ziclague, passaram-se para ele, de Manassés, Adna, Jozabade, Jediael, Micael, Jozabade, Eliú, e Ziletai, capitães de milhares dos de Manassés.

20As he went to Ziklag, there fell to him of Manasseh, Adnah, and Jozabad, and Jediael, and Michael, and Jozabad, and Elihu, and Zilthai, captains of the thousands that {were} of Manasseh.

21E estes ajudaram a Davi contra aquela tropa, porque todos eles eram heróis poderosos, e foram capitães no exército.

21And they helped David against the band {of the rovers}: for they {were} all mighty men of valour, and were captains in the host. {against...: or, with a band}

22Porque naquele tempo, dia após dia, vinham a Davi para o ajudar, até que se fez um grande exército, como o exército de Deus.

22For at {that} time day by day there came to David to help him, until {it was} a great host, like the host of God.

23Ora este é o número dos chefes armados para a peleja, que vieram a Davi em Hebrom, para transferir a ele o reino de Saul, conforme a palavra do Senhor.

23And these {are} the numbers of the bands {that were} ready armed to the war, {and} came to David to Hebron, to turn the kingdom of Saul to him, according to the word of the LORD. {bands: or, captains, or, men: Heb. heads}

24Dos filhos de Judá, que traziam escudo e lança, seis mil e oitocentos, armados para a peleja;

24The children of Judah that bare shield and spear {were} six thousand and eight hundred, ready armed to the war. {armed: or, prepared}

25Dos filhos de Simeão, homens poderosos para pelejar, sete mil e cem;

25Of the children of Simeon, mighty men of valour for the war, seven thousand and one hundred.

26Dos filhos de Levi, quatro mil e seiscentos.

26Of the children of Levi four thousand and six hundred.

27Joiada, que era o líder dos de Arão, e com ele três mil e setecentos.

27And Jehoiada {was} the leader of the Aaronites, and with him {were} three thousand and seven hundred;

28E Zadoque, sendo ainda jovem, homem poderoso, com vinte e dois capitães da família de seu pai;

28And Zadok, a young man mighty of valour, and of his father's house twenty and two captains.

29E dos filhos de Benjamim, irmãos de Saul, três mil; porque até então havia ainda muitos deles que eram pela casa de Saul.

29And of the children of Benjamin, the kindred of Saul, three thousand: for hitherto the greatest part of them had kept the ward of the house of Saul. {kindred: Heb. brethren} {the greatest...: Heb. a multitude of them}

30E dos filhos de Efraim, vinte mil e oitocentos homens poderosos, homens de nome nas casas de seus pais.

30And of the children of Ephraim twenty thousand and eight hundred, mighty men of valour, famous throughout the house of their fathers. {famous: Heb. men of names}

31E da meia tribo de Manassés, dezoito mil, que foram apontados pelos seus nomes para virem fazer rei a Davi.

31And of the half tribe of Manasseh eighteen thousand, which were expressed by name, to come and make David king.

32E dos filhos de Issacar, duzentos de seus chefes, destros na ciência dos tempos, para saberem o que Israel devia fazer, e todos os seus irmãos seguiam suas ordens.

32And of the children of Issachar, {which were men} that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them {were} two hundred; and all their brethren {were} at their commandment.

33De Zebulom, dos que podiam sair no exército, cinqüenta mil ordenados para a peleja com todas as armas de guerra; como também destros para ordenarem uma batalha, e não eram de coração dobre.

33Of Zebulun, such as went forth to battle, expert in war, with all instruments of war, fifty thousand, which could keep rank: {they were} not of double heart. {expert...: or, rangers of battle, or, ranged in battle} {keep...: or, set the battle in array} {not...: Heb. without a heart and a heart}

34E de Naftali, mil capitães, e com eles trinta e sete mil com escudo e lança.

34And of Naphtali a thousand captains, and with them with shield and spear thirty and seven thousand.

35E dos danitas, ordenados para a peleja, vinte e oito mil e seiscentos.

35And of the Danites expert in war twenty and eight thousand and six hundred.

36E de Aser, dos que podiam sair no exército, para ordenarem a batalha, quarenta mil.

36And of Asher, such as went forth to battle, expert in war, forty thousand. {expert: or, keeping their rank}

37E do outro lado do Jordão, dos rubenitas e gaditas, e da meia tribo de Manassés, com toda a sorte de instrumentos de guerra para pelejar, cento e vinte mil.

37And on the other side of Jordan, of the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and of the half tribe of Manasseh, with all manner of instruments of war for the battle, an hundred and twenty thousand.

38Todos estes homens de guerra, postos em ordem de batalha, vieram a Hebrom, com corações decididos, para constituírem a Davi rei sobre todo o Israel; e também todo o restante de Israel tinha o mesmo coração para constituir a Davi rei.

38All these men of war, that could keep rank, came with a perfect heart to Hebron, to make David king over all Israel: and all the rest also of Israel {were} of one heart to make David king.

39E estiveram ali com Davi três dias, comendo e bebendo; porque seus irmãos lhes tinham preparado as provisões.

39And there they were with David three days, eating and drinking: for their brethren had prepared for them.

40E também seus vizinhos de mais perto, até Issacar, e Zebulom, e Naftali, trouxeram, sobre jumentos, e sobre camelos, e sobre mulos, e sobre bois, pão, provisões de farinha, pastas de figos e cachos de passas, e vinho, e azeite, e bois, gado miúdo em abundância; porque havia alegria em Israel.

40Moreover they that were nigh them, {even} unto Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, brought bread on asses, and on camels, and on mules, and on oxen, {and} meat, meal, cakes of figs, and bunches of raisins, and wine, and oil, and oxen, and sheep abundantly: for {there was} joy in Israel. {meat...: or, victual of meal}
