1 Crônicas 11

1Então todo o Israel se ajuntou a Davi em Hebrom, dizendo: Eis que somos teus ossos e tua carne.

1Then all Israel gathered themselves to David unto Hebron, saying, Behold, we {are} thy bone and thy flesh.

2E também outrora, sendo Saul ainda rei, eras tu o que fazias sair e entrar a Israel; também o Senhor teu Deus te disse: Tu apascentarás o meu povo Israel, e tu serás chefe sobre o meu povo Israel.

2And moreover in time past, even when Saul was king, thou {wast} he that leddest out and broughtest in Israel: and the LORD thy God said unto thee, Thou shalt feed my people Israel, and thou shalt be ruler over my people Israel. {in time...: Heb. both yesterday and the third day} {feed: or, rule}

3Também vieram todos os anciãos de Israel ao rei, a Hebrom, e Davi fez com eles aliança em Hebrom, perante o Senhor; e ungiram a Davi rei sobre Israel, conforme a palavra do Senhor pelo ministério de Samuel.

3Therefore came all the elders of Israel to the king to Hebron; and David made a covenant with them in Hebron before the LORD; and they anointed David king over Israel, according to the word of the LORD by Samuel. {by: Heb. by the hand of}

4E partiu Davi e todo o Israel para Jerusalém, que é Jebus; porque ali estavam os jebuseus, habitantes da terra.

4And David and all Israel went to Jerusalem, which {is} Jebus; where the Jebusites {were}, the inhabitants of the land.

5E disseram os habitantes de Jebus a Davi: Tu não entrarás aqui. Porém Davi ganhou a fortaleza de Sião, que é a cidade de Davi.

5And the inhabitants of Jebus said to David, Thou shalt not come hither. Nevertheless David took the castle of Zion, which {is} the city of David.

6Porque disse Davi: Qualquer que primeiro ferir os jebuseus será chefe e capitão. Então Joabe, filho de Zeruia, subiu primeiro a ela; pelo que foi feito chefe.

6And David said, Whosoever smiteth the Jebusites first shall be chief and captain. So Joab the son of Zeruiah went first up, and was chief. {chief: Heb. head}

7E Davi habitou na fortaleza; por isso foi chamada a cidade de Davi.

7And David dwelt in the castle; therefore they called it the city of David. {it: that is, Zion}

8E edificou a cidade ao redor, desde Milo até ao circuito; e Joabe renovou o restante da cidade.

8And he built the city round about, even from Millo round about: and Joab repaired the rest of the city. {repaired: Heb. revived}

9E Davi tornava-se cada vez mais forte; porque o Senhor dos Exércitos era com ele.

9So David waxed greater and greater: for the LORD of hosts {was} with him. {waxed...: Heb. went in going and increasing}

10E estes foram os chefes dos poderosos que Davi tinha, e que o apoiaram fortemente no seu reino, com todo o Israel, para o fazerem rei, conforme a palavra do Senhor, no tocante a Israel.

10These also {are} the chief of the mighty men whom David had, who strengthened themselves with him in his kingdom, {and} with all Israel, to make him king, according to the word of the LORD concerning Israel. {strengthened...: or, held strongly with him}

11E este é o número dos poderosos que Davi tinha: Jasobeão, hacmonita, chefe dos capitães, o qual, brandindo a sua lança contra trezentos, de uma vez os matou.

11And this {is} the number of the mighty men whom David had; Jashobeam, an Hachmonite, the chief of the captains: he lifted up his spear against three hundred slain {by him} at one time. {an Hachmonite: or, son of Hachmoni}

12E, depois dele Eleazar, filho de Dodó, o aoíta; ele estava entre os três poderosos.

12And after him {was} Eleazar the son of Dodo, the Ahohite, who {was one} of the three mighties.

13Este esteve com Davi em Pas-Damim, quando os filisteus ali se ajuntaram à peleja, onde havia um pedaço de campo cheio de cevada; e o povo fugiu de diante dos filisteus.

13He was with David at Pasdammim, and there the Philistines were gathered together to battle, where was a parcel of ground full of barley; and the people fled from before the Philistines. {Pasdammim: also called, Ephesdammim}

14E puseram-se no meio daquele campo, e o defenderam, e feriram os filisteus; e o Senhor efetuou um grande livramento.

14And they set themselves in the midst of {that} parcel, and delivered it, and slew the Philistines; and the LORD saved {them} by a great deliverance. {set...: or, stood} {deliverance: or, salvation}

15E três dos trinta capitães desceram à penha, a ter com Davi, na caverna de Adulão; e o exército dos filisteus estava acampado no vale de Refaim.

15Now three of the thirty captains went down to the rock to David, into the cave of Adullam; and the host of the Philistines encamped in the valley of Rephaim. {three...: or, three captains over the thirty}

16E Davi estava então no lugar forte; e o alojamento dos filisteus estava então em Belém.

16And David {was} then in the hold, and the Philistines' garrison {was} then at Bethlehem.

17E desejou Davi, e disse: Quem me dera beber da água do poço de Belém, que está junto à porta!

17And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me drink of the water of the well of Bethlehem, that {is} at the gate!

18Então aqueles três romperam pelo acampamento dos filisteus, e tiraram água do poço de Belém, que estava junto à porta, e tomaram dela e a trouxeram a Davi; porém Davi não a quis beber, mas a derramou ao Senhor,

18And the three brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, that {was} by the gate, and took {it}, and brought {it} to David: but David would not drink {of} it, but poured it out to the LORD,

19E disse: Nunca meu Deus permita que faça tal! Beberia eu o sangue destes homens com as suas vidas? Pois com perigo das suas vidas a trouxeram. E ele não a quis beber. Isto fizeram aqueles três homens.

19And said, My God forbid it me, that I should do this thing: shall I drink the blood of these men that have put their lives in jeopardy? for with {the jeopardy of} their lives they brought it. Therefore he would not drink it. These things did these three mightiest. {that have...: Heb. with their lives?}

20E também Abisai, irmão de Joabe, era chefe de três, o qual, brandindo a sua lança contra trezentos, os feriu; e teve nome entre os três.

20And Abishai the brother of Joab, he was chief of the three: for lifting up his spear against three hundred, he slew {them}, and had a name among the three.

21Ele foi o mais ilustre dos três, pelo que foi capitão deles; porém não igualou aos primeiros três.

21Of the three, he was more honourable than the two; for he was their captain: howbeit he attained not to the {first} three.

22Também Benaia, filho de Joiada, filho de um homem poderoso de Cabzeel, grande em obras; ele feriu a dois heróis de Moabe; e também desceu, e feriu um leão dentro de uma cova, no tempo da neve.

22Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man of Kabzeel, who had done many acts; he slew two lionlike men of Moab: also he went down and slew a lion in a pit in a snowy day. {who had...: Heb. great of deeds}

23Também feriu ele a um homem egípcio, homem de grande altura, de cinco côvados; e trazia o egípcio uma lança na mão, como o órgão do tecelão; mas Benaia desceu contra ele com uma vara, e arrancou a lança da mão do egípcio, e com ela o matou.

23And he slew an Egyptian, a man of {great} stature, five cubits high; and in the Egyptian's hand {was} a spear like a weaver's beam; and he went down to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian's hand, and slew him with his own spear. {great...: Heb. measure}

24Estas coisas fez Benaia, filho de Joiada; pelo que teve nome entre aqueles três poderosos.

24These {things} did Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and had the name among the three mighties.

25Eis que dos trinta foi ele o mais ilustre; contudo não chegou aos primeiros três; e Davi o pôs sobre os da sua guarda.

25Behold, he was honourable among the thirty, but attained not to the {first} three: and David set him over his guard.

26E foram os poderosos dos exércitos: Asael, irmão de Joabe, El-Hanã, filho de Dodó, de Belém;

26Also the valiant men of the armies {were}, Asahel the brother of Joab, Elhanan the son of Dodo of Bethlehem,

27Samote, o harorita; Helez, o pelonita;

27Shammoth the Harorite, Helez the Pelonite, {Shammoth: or, Shammah} {Harorite: or, Harodite} {Pelonite: or, Paltite}

28Ira, filho de Iques, o tecoíta; Abiezer, o anatotita;

28Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite, Abiezer the Antothite,

29Sibecai, o husatita; Ilai, o aoíta;

29Sibbecai the Hushathite, Ilai the Ahohite, {Sibbecai: or, Mebunnai} {Ilai: or, Zalmon}

30Maarai, o netofatita; Helede, filho de Baaná, o netofatita;

30Maharai the Netophathite, Heled the son of Baanah the Netophathite, {Heled: or, Heleb}

31Itai, filho de Ribai, de Gileade, dos filhos de Benjamim; Benaia, o piratonita;

31Ithai the son of Ribai of Gibeah, {that pertained} to the children of Benjamin, Benaiah the Pirathonite,

32Hurai, do ribeiro de Gaás; Abiel, o arbatita;

32Hurai of the brooks of Gaash, Abiel the Arbathite, {Hurai: or, Hiddai} {Abiel: or, Abialbon}

33Azmavete, o baarumita; Eliabe, o saalbonita;

33Azmaveth the Baharumite, Eliahba the Shaalbonite,

34Dos filhos de Hasém, o gizonita: Jônatas, filho de Sage, o hararita;

34The sons of Hashem the Gizonite, Jonathan the son of Shage the Hararite, {Hashem: or, Jashen}

35Aião, filho de Sacar, o hararita; Elifal, filho de Ur;

35Ahiam the son of Sacar the Hararite, Eliphal the son of Ur, {Sacar: or, Sharar} {Eliphal: or, Eliphelet} {Ur: or, Ahasbai}

36Hefer, o mequeratita; Aías, o pelonita;

36Hepher the Mecherathite, Ahijah the Pelonite,

37Hezro, o carmelita; Naarai, filho de Ezbai;

37Hezro the Carmelite, Naarai the son of Ezbai, {Hezro: or Hezrai} {Naarai: or Paarai the Arbite}

38Joel, irmão de Natã; Mibar, filho de Hagri;

39Zeleque, o amonita; Naarai, o beerotita, escudeiro de Joabe, filho de Zeruia;

39Zelek the Ammonite, Naharai the Berothite, the armourbearer of Joab the son of Zeruiah,

42Adina, filho de Siza, o rubenita, capitão dos rubenitas, e com ele trinta;

42Adina the son of Shiza the Reubenite, a captain of the Reubenites, and thirty with him,

43Hanã, filho de Maaca; e Josafá, o mitatita;

43Hanan the son of Maachah, and Joshaphat the Mithnite,

44Uzias, o asteratita; Sama e Jeiel, filhos de Hotão, o aroerita;

44Uzzia the Ashterathite, Shama and Jehiel the sons of Hothan the Aroerite,

45Jediael, filho de Sinri; e Joa, seu irmão, o tizita;

45Jediael the son of Shimri, and Joha his brother, the Tizite, {son...: or, Shimrite}

46Eliel, o maavita; e Jeribai e Josavias, filhos de Elnaão; e Itma, o moabita;

46Eliel the Mahavite, and Jeribai, and Joshaviah, the sons of Elnaam, and Ithmah the Moabite,

47Eliel, Obede, e Jaasiel, o mesobaíta.
