5Os filhos de Jafé foram: Gomer, Magogue, Madai, Javã, Tubal, Meseque e Tiras.

5The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.

6E os filhos de Gomer: Asquenaz, Rifate, Togarma.

6And the sons of Gomer; Ashchenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah. {Riphath: or, Diphath as it is in some copies}

7E os filhos de Javã: Elisá, Társis, Quitim e Dodanim.

8Os filhos de Cão: Cuxe, Mizraim, Pute e Canaã.

9E os filhos de Cuxe eram: Sebá, Havilá, Sabtá, Raamá e Sabtecá; os filhos de Raamá: Sebá e Dedã.

9And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabta, and Raamah, and Sabtecha. And the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan.

10E Cuxe gerou a Ninrode, que começou a ser poderoso na terra.

10And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be mighty upon the earth.

11E Mizraim gerou a Ludim e a Anamim e a Leabim e a Naftuim,

11And Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,

12E a Patrusim e a Casluim (dos quais procedem os filisteus) e a Caftorim.

12And Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (of whom came the Philistines,) and Caphthorim.

13E Canaã gerou a Sidom seu primogênito, e a Hete,

13And Canaan begat Zidon his firstborn, and Heth,

14E aos jebuseus e aos amorreus e aos girgaseus,

15E aos heveus e aos arqueus e aos sineus,

17E foram os filhos de Sem: Elão, Assur, Arfaxade, Lude, Arã, Uz, Hul, Geter e Meseque.

17The sons of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram, and Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Meshech. {Meshech: or, Mash}

18E Arfaxade gerou a Selá e Selá gerou a Éber.

18And Arphaxad begat Shelah, and Shelah begat Eber.

19E a Éber nasceram dois filhos: o nome de um foi Pelegue, porquanto nos seus dias se repartiu a terra, e o nome de seu irmão era Joctã.

19And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of the one {was} Peleg; because in his days the earth was divided: and his brother's name {was} Joktan. {Peleg: that is, division}

20E Joctã gerou a Almodá, a Selefe, a Hazarmavé, e a Jerá,

21E a Hadorão, a Usal, e a Dicla,

21Hadoram also, and Uzal, and Diklah,

22E a Obal, a Abimael, a Sebá,

22And Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba,

23E a Ofir, a Havilá, e a Jobabe: todos estes foram filhos de Joctã.

23And Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab. All these {were} the sons of Joktan.

24Sem, Arfaxade, Selá,

24Shem, Arphaxad, Shelah,

25Éber, Pelegue, Reú,

25Eber, Peleg, Reu,

26Serugue, Naor, Terá,

26Serug, Nahor, Terah,

27Abrão, que é Abraão.

27Abram; the same {is} Abraham.

28Os filhos de Abraão foram: Isaque e Ismael.

28The sons of Abraham; Isaac, and Ishmael.

34Abraão, pois, gerou a Isaque; e foram os filhos de Isaque: Esaú e Israel.

35Os filhos de Esaú: Elifaz, Reuel, Jeús, Jalão e Coré.

35The sons of Esau; Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.

36Os filhos de Elifaz: Temã, Omar, Zefi, Gaetã, Quenaz, Timna e Amaleque.

36The sons of Eliphaz; Teman, and Omar, Zephi, and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek. {Zephi: or, Zepho}

37Os filhos de Reuel: Naate, Zerá, Samá e Mizá.

38E os filhos de Seir: Lotã, Sobal, Zibeão, Aná, Disom, Eser e Disã.

38And the sons of Seir; Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.

39E os filhos de Lotã: Hori e Homã; e a irmã de Lotã foi Timna.

39And the sons of Lotan; Hori, and Homam: and Timna {was} Lotan's sister. {Homam: or, Hemam}

40Os filhos de Sobal eram Alvã, Manaate, Ebal, Sefi e Onã; e os filhos de Zibeão eram Aiá e Aná.

40The sons of Shobal; Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. And the sons of Zibeon; Aiah, and Anah. {Alian: also called, Alvan} {Shephi: also called, Shepho}

41O filho de Aná foi Disom; e os filhos de Disom foram Hanrão, Esbã, Itrã e Querã.

41The sons of Anah; Dishon. And the sons of Dishon; Amram, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran. {Amram: or, Hemdan}

42Os filhos de Eser eram: Bilã, Zaavã e Jaacã; os filhos de Disã eram: Uz e Arã.

42The sons of Ezer; Bilhan, and Zavan, {and} Jakan. The sons of Dishan; Uz, and Aran. {Jakan: or, Akan}

43E estes são os reis que reinaram na terra de Edom, antes que reinasse rei sobre os filhos de Israel: Bela, filho de Beor, e era o nome da sua cidade Dinabá.

43Now these {are} the kings that reigned in the land of Edom before {any} king reigned over the children of Israel; Bela the son of Beor: and the name of his city {was} Dinhabah.

44E morreu Bela, e reinou em seu lugar Jobabe, filho de Zerá, de Bozra.

44And when Bela was dead, Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.

45E morreu Jobabe, e reinou em seu lugar Husão, da terra dos temanitas.

45And when Jobab was dead, Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead.

46E morreu Husão, e reinou em seu lugar Hadade, filho de Bedade; este feriu os midianitas no campo de Moabe; e era o nome da sua cidade Avite.

46And when Husham was dead, Hadad the son of Bedad, which smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city {was} Avith.

47E morreu Hadade, e reinou em seu lugar Samlá, de Masreca.

47And when Hadad was dead, Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.

48E morreu Samlá, e reinou em seu lugar Saul, de Reobote, junto ao rio.

48And when Samlah was dead, Shaul of Rehoboth by the river reigned in his stead.

49E morreu Saul, e reinou em seu lugar Baal-Hanã, filho de Acbor.

49And when Shaul was dead, Baalhanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.

50E, morrendo Baal-Hanã, Hadade reinou em seu lugar; e era o nome da sua cidade Paí; e o nome de sua mulher era Meetabel, filha de Matrede, filha de Me-Zaabe.

50And when Baalhanan was dead, Hadad reigned in his stead: and the name of his city {was} Pai; and his wife's name {was} Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab. {Hadad: or, Hadar} {Pai: or, Pau}

51E, morrendo Hadade, foram príncipes em Edom o príncipe Timna, o príncipe Alva, o príncipe Jetete,

51Hadad died also. And the dukes of Edom were; duke Timnah, duke Aliah, duke Jetheth,

52O príncipe Oolibama, o príncipe Elá, o príncipe Pinom,

52Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,

53O príncipe Quenaz, o príncipe Temã, o príncipe Mibzar,

53Duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar,

54O príncipe Magdiel, o príncipe Irã, estes foram os príncipes de Edom.

54Duke Magdiel, duke Iram. These {are} the dukes of Edom.
