1Alegrar-nos-emos se, obedecendo às coisas que escrevemos pelo Espírito Santo, cortardes a ira ilegítima de vosso ciúme.
1We shall rejoice if, obeying the things we have written by the Holy Spirit, you cut off the unlawful wrath of your jealousy.
2Segundo a súplica que fizemos por paz e concórdia nesta carta.
2According to the supplication we have made for peace and concord in this letter.
3Enviamos também homens fiéis e prudentes, que viveram irrepreensívelmente entre nós desde a juventude até a velhice.
3We have also sent faithful and prudent men, who have lived blamelessly among us from youth to old age.
4Os quais também serão testemunhas entre vós e nós. E isto fizemos para que saibais que toda nossa preocupação foi e é que rapidamente tenhais paz.
4Who also will be witnesses between you and us. And this we have done so that you may know that all our concern was and is that you may quickly have peace.
