1 Clemente 61

1Tu, ó Senhor, lhes deste o poder da soberania pela tua excelente e indescritível fortaleza, para que nós, conhecendo a glória e a honra que lhes foram dadas por ti, nos sujeitemos a eles.

1You, O Lord, gave them the power of sovereignty by your excellent and indescribable strength, so that we, knowing the glory and honor that were given them by you, may be subject to them.

2Não resistindo de modo algum à tua vontade. Concede-lhes, Senhor, saúde, paz, harmonia, firmeza.

2By no means resisting your will. Grant them, Lord, health, peace, harmony, firmness.

3Para que possam exercer sem ofensa o governo que lhes foi dado por ti.

3That they may exercise without offense the government that was given them by you.

4Pois tu, ó Senhor celestial, Rei dos séculos, dás aos filhos dos homens glória e honra e autoridade sobre as coisas que estão na terra.

4For you, O heavenly Lord, King of the ages, give to the sons of men glory and honor and authority over the things that are on earth.
