1 Clemente 48

1Removamos, portanto, isto rapidamente e prostremo-nos diante do Senhor, e choremos, suplicando-lhe que, tornando-se misericordioso, se reconcilie conosco e nos restaure à nossa antiga conduta de amor fraternal.

1Let us therefore remove this quickly and prostrate ourselves before the Lord, and weep, supplicating him that, becoming merciful, he may be reconciled with us and restore us to our former condition of brotherly love.

2Porque esta é a porta da justiça que se abre para a vida, como está escrito: Abri-me as portas da justiça, para que entrando nelas eu louve o Senhor.

2For this is the gate of righteousness that opens to life, as it is written: Open to me the gates of righteousness, that entering through them I may praise the Lord.

3Esta é a porta do Senhor; os justos entrarão por ela.

3This is the gate of the Lord; the righteous shall enter through it.

4Havendo, portanto, muitas portas abertas, aquela em justiça é a que está em Cristo.

4There being, therefore, many gates open, that in righteousness is the one that is in Christ.
