1Sede zelosos, irmãos, e ciosos das coisas que pertencem à salvação.

1Be zealous, brethren, and earnest for the things that pertain to salvation.

2Haveis estudado as sagradas escrituras, que são verdadeiras e dadas pelo Espírito Santo.

2You have studied the sacred scriptures, which are true and given by the Holy Spirit.

3Sabeis que nada de injusto ou fraudulento está escrito nelas.

3You know that nothing unjust or fraudulent is written in them.

4Não achareis que homens justos foram rejeitados por homens santos. Os justos foram perseguidos, mas pelos ímpios.

4You will not find that righteous men were rejected by holy men. The righteous were persecuted, but by the wicked.
