1 Clemente 40

1Sendo estas coisas claras para nós, e tendo olhado para as profundezas do conhecimento divino, devemos fazer em boa ordem todas as coisas que o Senhor ordenou que cumpramos nas estações determinadas.

1These things being clear to us, and having looked into the depths of divine knowledge, we must do in good order all things that the Lord commanded to be fulfilled at the appointed times.

2Que as ofertas e ministérios sejam realizados, e não descuidada ou desordenadamente, mas nos tempos e estações determinados.

2That the offerings and ministries be performed, and not carelessly or disorderly, but at the appointed times and seasons.

3Onde e por quem ele quer que sejam realizados, ele mesmo fixou por seu supremo desígnio.

3Where and by whom he wants them to be performed, he himself fixed by his supreme design.

4Pois ao sumo sacerdote foram dadas suas próprias funções; aos sacerdotes foi designado seu próprio lugar; e aos levitas são impostos seus próprios ministérios.

4For to the high priest his own functions were given; to the priests their own place was assigned; and to the Levites their own ministries are imposed.
