1Com esta esperança, portanto, nossas almas estejam ligadas àquele que é fiel em suas promessas e justo em seus julgamentos.
1With this hope, therefore, let our souls be bound to him who is faithful in his promises and righteous in his judgments.
2Aquele que ordenou que não mintamos, muito menos ele próprio mentirá. Porque nada é impossível a Deus, exceto a mentira.
2He who commanded that we should not lie, much less will he himself lie. For nothing is impossible to God, except lying.
3Que a fé nele seja acesa em nós e consideremos que todas as coisas estão perto dele.
3Let faith in him be kindled in us and let us consider that all things are near to him.
4Pela palavra de sua majestade ele estabeleceu todas as coisas, e pela palavra ele pode destruí-las.
4By the word of his majesty he established all things, and by the word he can destroy them.
