1 Clemente 21

1Cuidado, amados, para que seus muitos benefícios não se tornem julgamento contra nós, se não vivermos dignamente dele e não fizermos em harmonia o que é bom e agradável diante dele.

1Take heed, beloved, lest his many benefits become judgment against us, if we do not live worthily of him and do in harmony what is good and pleasing before him.

2Porque diz em algum lugar: O Espírito do Senhor é uma lâmpada que investiga as profundezas do coração.

2For it says somewhere: The Spirit of the Lord is a lamp that searches the depths of the heart.

3Vejamos quão perto ele está e que nenhum de nossos pensamentos ou de nossas deliberações lhe é oculto.

4É justo, portanto, que não abandonemos nosso posto de sua vontade.
