1 Clemente 13

1Sejamos, portanto, humildes de espírito, irmãos, pondo de lado toda jactância e presunção e insensatez e iras.

1Let us therefore be humble in spirit, brethren, putting aside all boasting and presumption and foolishness and anger.

2E façamos o que está escrito. Porque o Espírito Santo diz: O sábio não se glorie em sua sabedoria, nem o forte em sua força, nem o rico em suas riquezas.

2And let us do what is written. For the Holy Spirit says: Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, nor the strong in his strength, nor the rich in his riches.

3Mas aquele que se gloria, glorie-se no Senhor, em buscá-lo e em fazer justiça e juízo.

3But let him who boasts boast in the Lord, in seeking him and in doing justice and judgment.

4Especialmente lembremos as palavras do Senhor Jesus, que ele falou ensinando bondade e longanimidade.

4Especially let us remember the words of the Lord Jesus, which he spoke teaching kindness and longsuffering.
