Testamento de Salomão 8

1E outra vez ordenei que um demônio se apresentasse.

1And once again I commanded a demon to present himself.

2E veio diante de mim um espírito com a forma de leão rugindo.

2And there came before me a spirit in the form of a roaring lion.

3E tinha asas incandescentes que irradiavam fogo.

3And he had incandescent wings that radiated fire.

4E eu lhe disse: Quem és tu?

4And I said to him: Who are you?

5E ele disse: Eu sou um leão, nascido de fogo.

5And he said: I am a lion, born of fire.

6Eu devoro os que seguem o caminho de Baal.

6I devour those who follow the way of Baal.

7E eu disse: Por qual anjo és frustrado?

7And I said: By which angel are you frustrated?

8E ele respondeu: Pelo grande anjo Manuel.

8And he answered: By the great angel Manuel.

9Então o selei e o coloquei para serrar madeira para o templo.

9Then I sealed him and put him to sawing wood for the temple.

10E assim continuei a subjugar todos os demônios pelo poder do anel que Deus me dera.

10And thus I continued to subdue all demons by the power of the ring that God had given me.
